Papa's Pilar was developed by Hemingway family members and their partners and has a distillery and tasting room in Key West, Florida. The line uses a solera blend of aged rum finished in sherry and bourbon casks, and takes its name from Ernest Hemingway's fishing boat. Details of the distilling setup are only loosely confirmed, so the pin is placed at the Key West distillery location. The brand began operating around 2016 to 2017.
