Dictador is distilled in Cartagena on Colombia's Caribbean coast and is among the better known Colombian rum brands. The distillery dates its origins to 1913. The brand is built on long-aged solera blends released with age statements of 12 years and upward. It is a producer with its own distillery, not just a blender, but several operational details are only partly confirmed. The pin is placed at Cartagena itself.
