Montebello is at Petit-Bourg on Basse-Terre and makes rhum agricole under the Karukera name. A founding in the 1930s is sometimes cited, though I could not confirm it. The distillery works from cane juice and offers visits to its cane fields and distillery. Karukera is the old Carib name for Guadeloupe. Owner and founding year are uncertain in my sources, so confidence is low.
