Foursquare was set up in 1996 in a former sugar factory on an old plantation in Saint Philip and is run by Richard Seale, whose family firm R L Seale and Co also blends and ships rum. It is known for the Exceptional Cask Selection series, each bottling with its own mix of pot and column spirit and ageing history. The distillery sells much rum in bulk and is openly respected for rule-free labelling.
