Long Pond lies in Trelawny and is usually given as dating to 1753, though the current distillery grew from consolidation of nearby estates. It is run by National Rums of Jamaica together with Clarendon. Output goes largely to bulk buyers and independent bottlers, and its marks such as STCE and ITP are well known among collectors. The Vale Royal distillery was folded into it in the 1950s, and Long Pond is one of the few Jamaican plants still working in the older, heavy style.
