St Lucia Distillers took its present form in 1972 when the Roseau Valley estate and the Denis Barnard distillery at Dennery merged, though rum was made on St Lucia long before. Angostura of Trinidad took a 24.9 percent stake in 1998. It combines a Coffey still, John Dore pot stills and a Vendome pot still, and its range runs from the Chairman's Reserve rums to cask-strength bottlings.
